A fast casual chain that is rapidly expanding their U.S. presence has opened their most recent restaurant inside one of Hudson County’s biggest shopping centers as New York Fries have launched in Jersey City
The company, who have over 100 restaurants across Canada, opened just their second U.S. location in Edison earlier this year following the U.S. launch inside Long Island’s Roosevelt Field Mall.
Known for their decadent French fry offerings, New York Fries differentiates itself by cooking its freshly cut potatoes in non-hydrogenated sunflower oil using a unique three-stage method.
Nothing else goes into the fryers except potatoes, making the fries at the restaurant fully vegan, vegetarian and gluten friendly. The menu at the restaurant features fries topped with options including beef chili, pulled pork, queso and crumbled bacon alongside the classic Canadian poutine option that blends beef gravy and Wisconsin cheese curds.
Additionally, New York Fries serves all-beef grilled hot dogs and an array of loaded dog options. The company’s next restaurant in the pipeline will also be local, as they will be launching later this year inside the Smith Haven Mall in Lake Grove, New York.
“Since opening our first two locations on the East Coast, the reception from communities and fry-lovers has been nothing short of amazing,” said Craig Burt, Chief Operating Officer at New York Fries. “Our concept is a great addition to mall food courts and Newport Centre is the perfect place for our next restaurant. As our fresh-cut fries and all-beef grilled hot dogs continue taking over the East Coast, we’re excited to officially open in Jersey City.”
