A chain from north of the border known for their decadent French fry offerings has a launched their first New Jersey location as New York Fries is open for business and with planned expansion to Jersey City later this year.
New York Fries, who operate over 100 restaurants across Canada opened their newest outpost inside the Menlo Park Mall in Edison. The launch follows the brand’s official re-entrance into the U.S. earlier this year via their initial location in Long Island’s Roosevelt Field Mall.
The restaurant, operated by the Recipe Restaurant Group, features a niche menu with (you guessed it) freshly cut fries served plain or loaded with a variety of toppings. Options include beef chili, pulled pork, queso and crumbled bacon alongside the classic Canadian poutine option that blends beef gravy and Wisconsin cheese curds.
New York Fries differentiates itself by cooking its freshly cut potatoes in non-hydrogenated sunflower oil using a unique three-stage method. Nothing else goes into the fryers except potatoes, making the restaurant fully vegan, vegetarian and gluten friendly.
Additionally, New York Fries serves all-beef grilled hot dogs and an array of loaded dog options.
