A property in Essex County that currently contains a law office could become the site of a mixed-use development.
The lot at 524 Union Avenue in Belleville is where Acumen Realty, LLC is proposing a four-story building, according to a notice of hearing from the Gaccione & Pomaco, P.C. law firm.
The project calls for 27 residential units, including 21 one-bedroom units and six two-bedroom units. Two ground-floor commercial spaces would also be provided on the premises.
Gaccione & Pomaco, P.C. is currently based at 524 Union Avenue, which is located at the corner of Kathryn Street.
In order to proceed with the project, preliminary and final major site plan approval with eight variances are being sought by the developer, the notice says.
A public hearing before the Belleville Planning Board is slated to take place on Thursday, December 9, at 7:00 p.m. at the Belleville Municipal Building.
