A restaurant and bar chain from Florida that recently opened several locations in suburban New Jersey has signed a lease in Somerset County and is planning to open an outpost there later this year.
Miller’s Ale House is expected to come to the intersection of Route 22 and Terrill Road in Watchung. The company applied to the Watchung Borough Council in order to acquire an inactive liquor license owned by Briad Development. Andrea Von Utter, the Vice President of Marketing for Miller’s Ale House, told Jersey Digs that the hours of operation of the Watchung location have not yet been determined, but that most Miller’s Ale Houses open at 11:00 a.m. and close at midnight on weekdays and 2:00 a.m. on weekends.
There are currently Miller’s Ale House locations in the New Jersey municipalities of Mount Laurel, Paramus, Rockaway Township, and Woodbridge. The company, which is headquartered in Orlando, operates close to 100 restaurants in over a dozen states.
A complex called the Shoppes at Watchung was constructed recently at the corner of Route 22 and Terrill Road where a Sears location previously operated.
