A Parisian coffee and sweets brand that has several Manhattan locations is set to expand to the Garden State soon as Ladurée will be opening inside the Mall at Short Hills on July 26.
Established in 1862, Ladurée is well-known throughout the world for its macarons and unique lattes. The brand has five outposts in New York City but can be hard to find anywhere else in the region.
“Whether you’re popping in for a coffee while you shop, treating yourself to a midday sweet, or buying a gift box for someone you love, let Ladurée bring a taste of Paris to you,” reads an invitation from the shop to visit their upcoming New Jersey spot. The space will be situated on the lower level of the Mall at Short Hills near Neiman Marcus.
Besides their macarons, Ladurée offers a finger pâtisserie that sports a chocolate shell enveloped in a melting center that delicately rests on a crisp. Their signature lattes include raspberry, rose, lychee, and other hard-to-find varieties that add to the fun.
The Ladurée brand was the iconic name behind the first French tearoom that opened over 160 years ago. Their Short Hills location will be just the 14th store the company operates in the United States when fully operational.
