As modern developments continue to pop up around Jersey City at a record pace, a preservation-minded group is looking to celebrate renovations that have breathed new life into historic structures.
The Jersey City Landmarks Conservancy (JCLC) will be hosting their 20th annual Preservation Awards on September 14. This year’s event will be held at the Barrow Mansion where guests can enjoy light bites, an open bar, and live music as exemplary people and preservation projects in Jersey City are recognized.
Hospitality sponsors at the event include Wheath Kitchen, 902 Brewing Company, Cafe Alyce, Corgi Spirits, Flowers & Favors, Hudson Hound, The Archer, and Super Buy Rite Jersey City. In addition to the awards ceremony, the evening will include a screening of the second segment of our new JCLC Oral Histories series and a silent auction.
The JCLC Oral Histories series was funded by a matching grant from the Jersey City Arts and Culture Trust Fund. As a nonprofit with an all-volunteer board, this event helps the JCLC raise funds to support our ongoing efforts and programming.
Since its founding in 1999, JCLC has held walking and bus tours to share local history with visitors and residents. The nonprofit sports an all-volunteer board and their annual awards gala helps to raise funds to support ongoing efforts and programming.
This 20th annual event is an opportunity to forge meaningful connections and build relationships with individuals who value organizations that give back to the community. Tickets are available to purchase through Event Brite.
The festivities begin at 6:30 p.m. and the event is sponsored by Ironstate, Vreeland Projects, the Hudson County Office of Cultural & Heritage Affairs, Tsigonia Central Paint & Hardware, KRE, The Skolar Group – Liberty Realty, Prime Real Estate Group, Z.H.I. Restoration & Construction, Guarini Plumbing, Procida Funding & Advisors, and Janine Berger of Corcoran Sawyer Smith.
