A burger and fries chain that used to operate in Essex County will be setting up shop there again.
Five Guys is planning to open a restaurant in suburban West Orange. Company spokesperson Jessica Lloyd confirmed that the location will be within the Essex Green Shopping Center, which is situated off Prospect Avenue near Interstate 280’s Exit 8.
Lloyd said that an opening date has not yet been determined and that the location is in the very early stages of development.
Although there are Five Guys restaurants just outside of Essex County in East Hanover, Harrison, Union, and Wayne, there are currently no locations within county limits. Five Guys briefly had outposts in Upper Montclair and West Caldwell that opened roughly a decade ago, but they are no longer in operation.
