Bergen County could see the construction of a new residential development.
A company is planning a project with three buildings on a property in Saddle Brook that is located not far from the interchange of Interstate 80 and the Garden State Parkway.
The company, Saddle Brook Urban Renewal Associates, LLC, is intending for the “100% affordable” complex to consist of 58 units at 435 North Midland Avenue, according to a notice of hearing. The development would reportedly include 11 one-bedroom units, 30 two-bedroom units, and 17 three-bedroom units at the 2.73-acre site.
This part of Saddle Brook is primarily industrial and residential. The premises at 435 North Midland Avenue sit just feet from the tracks of New Jersey Transit’s Bergen County Line, though the closest station is a mile north at Broadway in neighboring Fair Lawn.
Saddle Brook Urban Renewal Associates, LLC is seeking to receive preliminary site plan approval with variances in order to proceed, the notice says. A hearing before the Saddle Brook Planning Board has been scheduled for today, Monday, August 16, at 7:30 p.m. at Town Hall, located at 93 Market Street in the township.
