Castaway Vintage has come to 138 Monticello Avenue near Astor Place in the city’s Bergen Hill neighborhood. According to the business’ website, there are a wide variety of items for sale at the store, and more additions could be coming. Currently, “all things retro, vintage, and thrift” are available, ranging from home decor items and furniture to older records and arts and crafts items. Plus, there are plans to add a “fondue chocolate cafe” inside which will offer soups, dumplings, teas, and other food and drink options.
The business is open daily except for Sunday, and is one of only a few antique stores in lower Hudson County.
The space, located behind a CitiBike station, was previously occupied by Mothers & Daughters-‘N Touch Outreach Ministries, though it has frequently been vacant over the years.
