Camden Catalyst will award $25,000 to the top startup tech idea in Camden! Apply with a brand-new concept by June 30th and be entered into the tech startup pitch competition, culminating in a first place winner on September 16, 2017. Hosted by Waterfront Ventures, Camden Catalyst wants to invest in a new tech startup that will put down roots and grow their headquarters in Camden.
Waterfront Ventures is behind the successful coworking and community space Waterfront Lab and, as Camden’s economic development organization, is set to bring over 100 startups and businesses to Camden.
Applications must meet a handful of criteria, including that the applicant must be a brand-new tech startup without any formal funding, the business must be based in Camden, and 50% of the workforce hired must be Camden residents or students. The Grand Prize is $25,000, but both first and second place pitches receive one year of free coworking office space at Waterfront Lab.
Waterfront Ventures is committed to Camden and the goal truly is to show that a startup can thrive in Camden, enticing local university students to stick around and incentivizing other startups to see a future in Camden.
