A new open-air beer garden near the Boardwalk in Atlantic City has received approval just in time for summer. Soon to be located just off the Boardwalk between South California and South Iowa Avenues, ‘The BierGarten’ will have the capacity for more than 300 guests.
The proposal for the beer garden from Dectrinity LLC was approved by the Casino Reinvestment Development Authority (CRDA). CRDA must approve all proposals in the Tourism District of Atlantic City which is comprised of the entire Boardwalk, the Marina District, Gardner’s Basin, and 10 streets that lead into the Tourism District. The rest of Atlantic City is subject to only city zoning.
The Biergarten, in addition to space for over 300 patrons, will have an outdoor kitchen, 2 bars, fire pits, a game area, and distressed wood shipping containers for storage, refrigeration, and restrooms. Dectrinity LLC’s Principal, Mr. Nick Dounoulis, also owns Bungalow Restaurant, Lounge, and Beach Bar, well-known for their beach parties that draw international DJs. The new Biergarten expects to be open around July 4 and should definitely be another reason to “DO|AC” this summer.
