We just came across Weichert’s listing for Penthouse H in the Sugar House – one of Jersey City’s most coveted buildings. The enormous 1750 sf condo features a huge 450 sf terrace with unobstructed views of New York harbor and lower Manhattan.

Other highlights are a large, well organized walk in closet and a surprisingly well done kitchen. The only bath pictured has the requisite Calacatta marble and a rather odd enclosed shower bathtub area. I guess so you don’t have to choose beforehand whether to shower or bathe.

The mid-century inspired design is a bit questionable. Specifically, that fireplace. It’s going to take a special type to appreciate that. Personally, I love it! But the Persian onyx, ceiling high mirror, and inset TV will be a hard sell with most buyers.

Listed at $2.2m it ranks in at one of the most expensive condos in Jersey City.
