A high-rise that has been in the works for almost four years is heading towards the finish line as the latest community to hit Jersey City’s Newport neighborhood has begun their leasing operations.
LeFrak has officially announced the name of their development at 30 Park Lane, which was approved in 2021 and topped out construction last year. The complex is to be called Bisby and features a variety of homes spanning studios to four-bedroom penthouses.
“Today’s renters are looking for spacious, light-filled homes complemented by curated amenities they’ll actually use,” said Richard Wernick, Managing Director of Residential Leasing for LeFrak. “Bisby offers the most sought-after amenities — a pickleball court, abundant coworking space, content recording studio — and more, all within a thriving community offering vibrant retail, green space and transportation seconds away.”
Designed by New Jersey-based architecture firm Minno & Wasko, Bisby rises 34 stories and sports interiors were designed by the New York Studio of global architecture and design firm Woods Bagot. Drawing inspiration from the concept of a beehive, the design approach seeks to mirror the bustling rhythm of contemporary life while embracing an elegant style to create a sense of community and belonging through a balance of home and workplace.
Amenities at Bisby include a 33,000-square-foot rooftop that features a pickleball court, outdoor fitness space, dog run, sun deck, fire pit and outdoor kitchen with barbeque grills. A two-level co-working space also calls the complex home.
The parking garage included in Bisby sports chargers for electric vehicles and the ground floor retail space has already secured one tenant, as the second outpost of Montclair’s Efi’s Gyro has signed a lease for the space. The recently opened Dunhuong Noodles is across the street, while the upcoming Blue Anchor Bar + Kitchen is looking to open later this year.
