A historic 1892 two-family home at 1225 Garden Street, Hoboken sold for $3.85 million after only 10 days on the market. The sale set records as both the highest-priced Hoboken brownstone sale so far this year and the most expensive brownstone sale on this Garden Street block in Hoboken history.
1225 Garden Street was listed by Brown Harris Stevens’ Sharon Shahinian, a 22-year real estate veteran who has lived in the block for 28 years and raised her family there. She credits the quick sale to the home’s modern design changes and newly renovated garden, which created a high-end historic look while being contemporary enough to appeal to today’s modern buyers.
According to the prepared release, the previous record-holder on the block — 1254 Garden Street — sold for $3 million in 2021. Jersey Digs also previously reported on a past 2024 Hoboken record earlier this year, with this $3.65 million brownstone sale.
