A popular liquor store that emphasizes unique and hard-to-find offerings is heading west for their next venture as Wine Dad’s will be launching in a new development in Journal Square.
The brand opened their original location in Hoboken in 2018 inside the Harlow property next to Trader Joe’s. Wine Dad’s has since expanded into Jersey City in 2021 with a second location in the SoHo Lofts complex on the northern edge of Downtown.
In a deal brokered by GRID Real Estate, Wine Dad’s will now be coming to the ground floor of 425 Summit Avenue, a recently completed high-rise from Developers Spitzer Enterprises and Arden Group. The store features a vast selection of wine and spirits that include highly coveted labels, small-producer wines, unusual varieties, and locally brewed craft beers.

The store embraces the philosophy of “Dad just knows” to highlight deeper selections of liquors. It might be a little while until the store is up and running, as Jersey City’s Alcoholic Beverage Control board does not yet have a date set to hear a needed liquor license transfer application.
