A company that bought a property at the edge of Palisades Park more than a year ago could soon receive approval to bring a residential development with 40 units to the premises.
After filing an application for preliminary and final site plan approval with variances, Dong Nam NY, LLC is scheduled to go before the Palisades Park Zoning Board of Adjustment on Monday, March 15, regarding its plans for 550 Bergen Boulevard near the Fort Lee borough line.
There would be 28 one-bedroom units, 12 studios, and 55 parking spaces within the building along with room for 12 additional cars outside, according to site plans from Virgona & Virgona Architects that were released by Palisades Park’s municipal government.
The plans include a conceptual rendering illustrating that the development would have a unique exterior appearance and a notice of hearing indicates that there would also be a “rooftop community room” as part of the project.
Property sales records indicate that Dong Nam NY, LLC, which listed its address at the time as a house in Closter, acquired 550 Bergen Boulevard near the end of 2019 for $2 million.
The Zoning Board of Adjustment meeting on March 15 that is expected to include this matter will begin over Zoom at 7:00 p.m.
