The 2nd Annual Newark Tech Summit will be held on October 18th, anchoring the 2017 Newark Tech Week and recognizing the rise of Newark as a top tech city. =SPACE, a sharespace and incubator, announced the week’s series of events and the spotlight will be on local startups, entrepreneurs, and innovators.
“As home to several successful startups across varying industries and disciplines, Newark’s technology community has experienced a rapid surge of growth,” said the CEO of =SPACE and co-founder of Newark Tech Week. “Our overall mission is to unite those companies both during Newark Tech Week and on a long-term basis.”
Founded in 2015, the week-long celebration will be from October 18th through October 22nd, and the Tech Summit will kickoff the festivities at 2 Gateway Center, C&K Properties’ downtown office building which offers best-in-class connectivity.
Events include the Fueling The Growth Pitch Competition to discover top women-led tech companies, an NJIT: AI Robotics Showcase, various talks and roundtables, a drone race, and the 1st Annual Newark Gaming Expo.
