One of New York City’s longer-running sandwich shops will be dipping their toe into the Garden State market as Lenwich is set to launch their first New Jersey store in a space near Hoboken’s transit hub.
In a deal arranged by Atlantic Coastal Real Estate and GRID Real Estate, Lenwich is leasing 2,500 square feet at 95 Hudson Street. Per Real Estate NJ, the eatery will be bringing its brand of hot and cold sandwiches, salads and burgers to the location.
Lenwich, in business since 1989, currently operates 14 stores in Manhattan plus several in Korea. They are perhaps best known for their hot pastrami sandwich with corned beef, melted Swiss, coleslaw, and thousand island dressing.

Chris Conway of Atlantic Coastal Real Estate represented Lenwich, while GRID Real Estate’s Bobby Antonicello represented the landlord. In announcing the deal, Atlantic said the brand is actively seeking sites for new locations in Jersey City’s Exchange Place, Fort Lee, and Edgewater.
“I’m honored to bring a legendary New York City brand into New Jersey,” said Conway, president of Atlantic Coastal. ““The Hoboken/Jersey City market was natural progression due to the area adapting the identity of a borough.”
The impending arrival of Lenwich is welcome news for the property, which has sat vacant for well over half a decade despite its proximity to Hoboken’s PATH station. The building was at one point slated to be the site of Hoboken’s first cannabis dispensary, but the company that was slated to run the facility has since ceased operations following various management scandals.
An opening date for Lenwich’s Hoboken location has not yet been announced, and construction does not appear to have yet begun at the property.
