A bagel brand that is omnipresent around Jersey City is about to become even more prominent as Wonder Bagels will be setting up shop in one of the city’s fastest-growing neighborhoods.
The bagel shop will be coming to the ground-floor retail space of 626 Newark Avenue, a 526-unit high-rise that was recently completed. The shop has signed a lease for 2,100 square feet of space at the property in a deal brokered by GRID Real Estate.
Wonder Bagels has quite the Hudson County footprint, with seven locations in Jersey City and Bayonne. Their upcoming Newark Avenue spot will mark their eighth location and be located just a few short blocks from the Journal Square PATH Station.
Wonder Bagels offers a variety of (you guessed it) bagels with traditional toppings that span everything from lox spread and whitefish salad. The stop also serves up a variety of omelets, wraps, paninis, and grilled sandwiches like a tuna melt, pastrami, or a gyro.
The shop offers a catering menu as well for private events. An estimated timeline for the opening of the latest Wonder Bagel has not been announced.
