Despite reports indicating a more temperate market for luxury condos in DTJC, the high-end continues to show strength. Pure Properties announced today the sale of unit 4005 at Crystal Point, a 1,528-square-foot, two-bedroom, two-and-a-half-bath penthouse unit with two private terraces.
We featured the home, listed by Megha Moza, when it first hit the market in early April. A short 20 days later the home went under contract. According to Pure, the sale closed at $2,514,000 and set a new record price for any unit in the building. According to the MLS, the previous highest sale price was unit 3402, also represented by Moza, which sold for $2,400,000.
Downtown Jersey City condos have experienced double-digit appreciation over the last few years, a trend that appears to be slowing slightly. Even with this increase, properties here still offer significant value compared to equivalent ones across the river and high-end buyers continue to buy up the area’s trophy properties.
This latest announcement from Team Moza follows two other potentially record-setting penthouse deals at the upcoming 99 Hudson condo tower. Moza is the only agent to have sold more than one of the building’s crowning homes.
