BGT Enterprises just got approval to build a new, 59 unit condo project at 387 8th Street on what’s currently known as the Amcare site. The plan calls for the demolition of the existing building to make way for a new 7-story structure designed by Minervini Vandermark Architecture. It will include 60 parking spots, just surpassing the required 1-1 parking ratio. In order to provide these 60 spots, they’ve integrated a lift system to double stack the cars. The garage also features an electric car charging station and bike storage room.
Its units will be a mix of one-bedroom, one-bedroom plus den, two-bedroom, two-bedroom plus den, and three-bedrooms. Many units will have a terrace or balcony.
The amenity space is located on the top floor of the building and will include a children’s play room, kitchen, residents lounge, meeting room, gym and roof deck.
From an environmental standpoint, they’ve incorporated a green roof system that’s paired with a 5,000 gallon retention tank to catch rain water.
