Hudson County Mulls Extending Light Rail to Route 440
In 1997, the last light rail station in Jersey City was finished on West Side Avenue. Since then, the city has added more than 30,000 residents and development has expanded further west. To help accommodate this growth, the county has commissioned a study to better understand the costs of expanding the light rail to Route 440.
Urban Edge Properties to Buy Hudson Mall for $43.7 Million
Urban Edge Properties announced yesterday that it has entered into a $43.7 million contract to purchase Hudson Mall in Jersey City. The property, located on Route 440, spans 383,000 square feet and contains anchor tenants Marshalls, Toys "R" Us, Staples, and Old Navy.
