A restaurant that blends raw bar, steakhouse, cocktail lounge, and dockside dining has launched in a serene park setting as The Feathered Fox is open for business along the Hudson River.
Situated at 84 Audrey Zapp Drive, The Feathered Fox is located within the Maritime Parc building in Liberty State Park. The restaurant had originally opened in Livingston back in 2021 but headed east and opened in Jersey City earlier this summer.
The Feathered Fox sports some of the best views around in a modern space, where a 15-seat bar welcomes guests. High tops and walnut bar tables can be found in their lounge, while their main dining room sports a glass wine cellar and overlooks a canal between the park and Downtown Jersey City.
The restaurant’s outdoor area features table seating plus another bar area servicing craft cocktails, select beers, and an extensive wine list with varietals from all over the world.
Highlights from the bar menu include a Filthy Bleu Martini garnished with blue cheese-stuffed olives or a The Friend in the Meadow, which blends Tito’s Vodka, Massenez apple liqueur, cherry blossom simple syrup, and lemon in a bird-shaped glass.
The Feathered Fox’s unique sushi program offers fresh fish flown in from Japan and a full raw bar with options like Gulf White Shrimp, Hamachi Crudo, or a lavish seafood tower from those looking to splurge.
The entree menu of the restaurant aims to strike a balance between land and sea, with seafood dishes like halibut with oyster mushrooms and a delectable lobster fettuccini carbonara that will win over even the most discerning diners.
The land dishes include a roasted chicken with rye berries and prime beef cuts include New York strip, porterhouse for two, and a petit filet mignon. Sides for the table include brussels sprouts with honey and parmesan, mashed potato rings with grainy mustard fondue, or a duck confit mac and cheese.
The Feathered Fox is also open for brunch service on Sundays from 12 p.m. until 4 p.m. with dishes that include a chocolate babka French Toast or a heartier wagyu steak and eggs.
The restaurant is closed on Mondays and Tuesdays but is otherwise open for business on Wednesday through Sunday, beginning at 5:30 p.m. Reservations can be made through their website, and they can be followed on Instagram at the handle @featheredfoxnj.
