A coffee brand that has been holding it down for a decade will be hosting a celebration for the community in the coming days, as Bleu Coffee is having a free party this Sunday.
The celebration, called Out of Many, One Coffee,” will be “honoring a decade of community, culture, and exceptional coffee.” Founded in 2016, Bleu Coffee has three locations, with a pair in Jersey City and their latest in Montclair at 8 Erie Street.
The celebration will take place on September 27 from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM at their Montclair Space. Those interested can RSVP to the event here, as space is limited but attendance is free.
“For the past ten years, Bleu Coffee has been a place for connection,” says Kevin O’Gilvie, the company’s founder. “We want to celebrate this journey with the community that made it all possible and raise a cup to the next ten years”.
Planned event highlights include a traditional Jamaican barbecue menu featuring curated authentic flavors by the talented Chef Dean. Live music performances will take place all afternoon, featuring acts including P&H Duo, Aftertones, and DJ Church.
For those uninitiated, Bleu Coffee was born out of O’Gilvie’s childhood visits to Jamaica with his immigrant parents. He would later partner with Jamaican farmers and local roasters to bring the organic coffee he grew up around to the masses in the Garden State.
Bleu Coffee’s other locations are in Jersey City, inside The Beacon complex, and at 175 Second Street. The company can be followed on Instagram at the handle @bleucoffee.
