A coffee and café brand that has expanded greatly since their Jersey Shore roots has launched their second Jersey City outpost as Almost Home General has launched their first permanent Downtown location.
The company has opened their latest café connected to the lobby of the 351 Marin complex, which opened in 2022. The newest Almost Home General spans 1,000 square feet and features some outdoor seating overlooking mini water fountains as part of the property’s public plaza.
“We’re excited to welcome Almost Home General to 351 Marin,” said Jonathan Kushner, President of KRE Group. “We love partnering with local businesses that engage our residents, enhance our shared spaces, and deliver something special to the community.”
The spot is the company’s second Jersey City outpost following The Cafe Presented by Almost Home launching within Journal Squared last year. Almost Home has other locations in mostly seaside spots like Lincroft, Navesink, Sea Bright, Belford, Highlands, and Oceanport.
The café offers premium coffee, tea and espresso drinks, fresh pastries, and a full breakfast and lunch menu. Almost Home caters to serious coffee drinkers, offering some of the best single-origin coffees from around the world that rotate based on which beans are currently in harvest.
Highlights of the beverage menu include the Cereal Latte, which incorporates the flavors of a different breakfast cereal that rotates every month. A few smoked drinks like the S’mores Latte and the Old Fashioned Cold Brew have also become quick favorites.
The café’s food spans a variety of breakfast sandwiches, waffles, avocado toast, cheesesteaks, and buffalo Caesar wraps, along with other sandwiches and salads. Customers can help shape the menu at Almost Home General, as suggestions from patrons are welcome.
