A suburban restaurant chain known for its unique breakfast, lunch, and dinner items is apparently looking to open a location in Jersey City.
An outpost of The Committed Pig could be coming to Exchange Place. A public notice issued this week shows that a firm called JC Committed Pig, LLC filed an application with Jersey City’s Alcoholic Beverage Control Board in order to have the company’s plenary retail consumption liquor license be utilized in a commercial space at 1 Exchange Place.
Located near the Hudson River waterfront, 1 Exchange Place also includes a Hyatt House hotel and the RoofTop at Exchange Place.
JC Committed Pig, LLC is registered out of a house in Mendham Township and is comprised of Gerald Rotunno, Jr. and Armenio Monteiro, according to the notice.
The Committed Pig currently has locations in Morristown, Summit, and Manasquan. The chain, which was the subject of a 2016 review in The New York Times, serves everything ranging from red velvet pancakes and cinnamon crunch French toast to falafel burgers and fried pickle chips.
Jersey Digs reached out to The Committed Pig yesterday morning, but our request for comment has not yet been returned. The building owner, Concord Hospitality, also could not immediately be reached for comment.
