Jersey City-based Bark Buildings, an in-home pet service provider, and KRE Group recently inked a partnership to deliver home pet services across KRE’s Jersey City rental portfolio. KRE said Bark Buildings will create a pet concierge and canine club amenity program that includes community events, offering welcome boxes to new tenants and surprise gifts.

“We recognize that dogs and cats are beloved members of our building communities and chose to provide our residents with an amenity program dedicated entirely to their pets,” Jonathan Kushner, President of KRE Group said. “We’re thrilled to partner with Bark Buildings, one of the area’s most trusted pet care providers, to offer this service at each of our rental developments in Jersey City.”

Bark Buildings provides walking, pet sitting, and training lessons for dogs. The partnership with KRE extends Bark Buildings’ services to 18 Park, 225 Grand, Grove Pointe, Journal Squared, and 485 Marin. Bark Buildings also extends services to Cast Iron Lofts I and II; 50, 70, and 90 Colombus; Soho Lofts; and Vantage.

“Designed to engage residents through personalized experiences that socialize resident dogs and build a sense of community among pet owners, the ‘KRE in JC Canine Club’ is free to residents and consists of monthly events such as themed play dates and dog-friendly photo shoots, as well as six surprise gifts including Bark & Co. toys and treats, and welcome boxes for new tenants,” KRE said in a news release. “Signing up for the program will also give residents access to on-site and on-demand pet care services for an additional fee—including daily walks, play dates, in-home sitting, obedience training, and cat visits.”

Bark Buildings was founded in 2016. The company’s partnership with KRE Group marks the first time it has partnered with a commercial developer across a city-wide portfolio.
