A Montclair wing spot that began just about four years ago will be launching their second location in the coming days as some Good Chicken is slated to hit Jersey City.

Good Chicken opened in the summer of 2021 on Bloomfield Avenue. The restaurant, opened by alums of Montclair State University, focuses on Korean-style fried chicken and wings along with a few surprises.

Their newest location is situated between Jersey City’s Downtown and Bergen-Lafayette neighborhoods at 424 Grand Street. Under construction since this summer, Good Chicken has launched a Jersey City-specific Instagram account at @goodchicken32_jerseycity and is expected to open their doors later this month.

The restaurant offers diners a variety of wings, drumsticks, popcorn chicken, or chicken sandwiches with flavors like classic, soy garlic, a sweet and glazed spicy, and a new “cheesling” variety. Other items on the menu include a Korean rice-battered corn dog or a potato dog, which is filled with mozzarella and crusted with potato cubes.

The hours at the Jersey City spin on Good Chicken will run from 11:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. daily, with a later closing at 10 p.m. on Friday and Saturday nights. Online ordering from the restaurant will be available directly through their website.

Good Chicken is currently hiring kitchen staff, with full and part-time positions available. Those interested can email [email protected] for further details.
