The liquor license that had been used by a Hoboken nightclub until the business shut its doors could be transferred to another venue in the Mile Square City.

The plenary retail consumption license that was utilized by World Famous Entertainment, Co., LLC at Room 84 on Washington Street is the subject of an application by another company called Hoboken Loft, LLC, according to a June legal notice.

Hoboken Loft, LLC, which consists of Joseph Castelo, Robert Castelo, and Christine Commesso, applied to the Hoboken Alcoholic Beverage Control Board to use the license in question at 33-41 Newark Street, the notice says.

The Newark Street address is home to Riverview Historical Plaza and contains a penthouse event space known as Antique Loft at Riverview. This business, which opened in 2018, is run by the same people as Antique Bar & Bakery on Willow Avenue, but it is not yet clear how the liquor license would be used.

Jersey Digs reached out to Antique Bar & Bakery for comment but has not yet heard back.
