An affordable housing lottery has opened for 66 income-restricted apartments in Galloway Township. The residences are part of Cornerstone at Galloway 1, which is currently under construction and expected to open in spring 2026. The development marks the first phase of a three-part residential community taking shape in Atlantic County.
Barnegat-based developer Walters is holding the affordable housing lottery. The development is located at 110 South Wrangleboro Road in Galloway, minutes from Atlantic City. Applications will be accepted through Tuesday, December 2, with the drawing taking place on Monday, December 22.
“As this region continues to experience rapid growth, the demand for quality housing has never been greater,” commented Joe Del Duca, partner and director of affordable housing for Walters. “This new development offers families access to safe, modern housing with plenty of amenities.”

Phase One will include a mix of one-, two-, and three-bedroom layouts with modern kitchens and full-size washer/dryers in each residence. All units will feature private front door access. The project is being constructed to attain LEED® and ENERGY STAR® status. Residents will enjoy a fitness center, multipurpose clubhouse, children’s play area, computer workstations, and parking. Walters also offers on-site supportive services.
Rental rates for Cornerstone at Galloway will be available to those making 60% or less of the area’s median income. For complete information on income requirements and to access the lottery application, please visit Walters’ website. For those interested in Galloway Phase Two or Three, a separate preliminary application must be submitted, and Walters will advertise when applications will be accepted.
