An affordable housing lottery for 73 affordable housing units in Hainesport is underway. Cornerstone at Hainesport in Burlington County is currently under construction, and the window for applications is open through Thursday, October 16, with the drawing on Wednesday, October 29. The first building will be move-in ready in January 2026.
The income-restricted development in Hainesport is the latest of several Cornerstone projects for Barnegat-based Walters, who recently completed 188 affordable units in Lacey Township. The new residences are located along Creek Road near Mount Laurel. Hainesport (home of Lillo’s Tomato Pies) offers easy access to both Philadelphia and Trenton. When construction is finished the community will feature six buildings with a mix of one-, two-, and three-bedroom apartments.
“We’re proud to be investing in the Hainesport community, and creating a brighter future for residents,” commented Joe Del Duca, Partner and Director of Affordable Housing for Walters. “Families will have access to high-quality, affordable homes in a prime location, surrounded by the resources and conveniences they need to thrive.”
Haddonfield-based Donovan Architects designed Cornerstone at Hainesport with open floor plans, quality interior finishes and in-unit washers and dryers. All apartments will feature individual entrances with available parking. The construction will meet LEED® requirements and ENERGY STAR® certification. The community will enjoy a broad array of premium amenities including a fitness center, children’s playground, community clubhouse, computer workstations, social service coordinator and a basketball court.
