After months of planning, construction is finally set to begin on another new infill residential development in the booming Journal Square neighborhood of Jersey City.

Part of a mammoth industrial complex on West Side Ave in Jersey City could soon be home to hundreds of residents. A developer has applied to the Jersey City Zoning Board of Adjustment for approval to convert an existing warehouse into a two-story residential building.

Two new projects are in the works for Central Avenue in the Heights. The approved plans call for renovating and expanding the existing buildings, adding more residential units as well as improved commercial space.
