A long-vacant retail space just a block from the waterfront is slated to gain a new tenant in the coming months as Refined Wine & Spirits will be setting up shop inside one of Downtown Jersey City’s prominent high rises.
The new business will be run by Antek Sienkiel, who aims to bring a forward-thinking wine and spirits store to downtown Jersey City. Refined Wine & Spirits has signed a lease to open at 47 Grand Street, just off the corner of Grand Street and Greene Street.
The store will offer a curated collection of small-production wines, handcrafted spirits, and rare finds that you won’t find at your typical store, with a focus on smaller producers and women-owned wineries. The varieties will include organic and biodynamic wines, with the business aiming to be the most cultivated alcohol selection in downtown Jersey City.
Refined Wines will be opening later this spring, and plan to be hosting weekly tastings, events, and plenty of surprises when operational. They can be followed on Instagram at the handle @refined.wines for further updates.
