Pierre Fabre Laboratories has completed construction on its new U.S. Headquarters at 500 Plaza Drive in Secaucus. The 18,934 square-foot office is located on the mixed-use Harmon Meadows campus. The new facility will house the company’s dermo-cosmetics medical care subsidiaries.

Founded in France, Pierre Fabre is a global healthcare company that is currently the second-largest dermo-cosmetics manufacturer in the world and a rising force in oncology, cell and gene therapy, rare diseases, and dermatology. The company chose Secaucus for its convenient, strategic location and easy transportation connections to both the greater tri-state area and New York City.

Award-winning design firm Ware Malcomb handled architecture and interior design for the Secaucus office space. Sayreville-based Unity Construction Services, Inc., handled general contracting for the project.

“Our team worked closely with the client over several years, leading up to the design and construction of their new U.S. headquarters. Together we developed and delivered a thoughtfully curated environment engineered to spark creativity and foster teamwork across all their departments,” commented Ware Malcomb’s Chelsea Chamra, Studio Manager, Interior Architecture & Design.

The Ware Malcomb team worked with the client to showcase and reflect Pierre Fabre’s core values throughout the headquarters design. The company thrives on collaboration, and the open layout combines huddle rooms, offices, and a big communal pantry to facilitate teamwork and cooperation. Immersive hair and skin stations for team members and partners provide the ideal opportunity for on-site hands-on learning.

A special emphasis was placed on the environment and sustainability throughout the project. The open layout emphasizes a connection to nature with abundant greenery, organic forms, transitional glass, and fabric pendant lighting. Low embodied carbon and carbon-neutral flooring, natural wood veneers, low-VOC wall paints and finishes, plus bio-based and linoleum flooring were integral to the interior design.
