One of the busiest travel hubs in the country is set to welcome a pair of new restaurants just in time for the holiday rush.

Hospitality group OTG, who manage over 50 restaurants at Newark Liberty International Airport, are teaming with design firm Rockwell Group to bring two dining venues to United Airline’s space in Terminal C.

The first, Victory Grille, aims to transport travelers from the terminal to the front row of major sporting events around the globe via a 60 x 10-foot LED wall of multiprogram screens.

The restaurant’s menu is slated to feature a wide variety of classic American tavern dishes like burgers and creamy spinach and artichoke dip alongside comfort foods including prime rib with gravy and crispy cheese curds.

Lighter selections highlighting locally sourced produce and thoughtfully crafted cocktails round out the experience at Victory Grille, which will open for business in mid-December.

The second new restaurant in Terminal C, Nonna’s Kitchen & Bar, will be a modern take on an upscale trattoria that “celebrates the flavors of home-cooked meals by the quintessential Italian grandmother.”

An inviting wraparound bar and open kitchen views will be part of the landscape and the menu includes made-to-order pasta dishes, hand-formed polpette, fresh burrata, tartufata pizza, and or porchetta sandwich.

Both new restaurants will offer OTG’s flo Xgen technology, which enables travelers to place their food and beverage orders on a mobile platform. The service recently introduced new on-demand pickup and gate side delivery capabilities for those on the go.

The new restaurants are the latest revamp at Newark Airport, which saw the brand-new Terminal A open earlier this year. Dining options in that corner of the facility include Jersey City favorite Kitchen Step, The Office Tavern & Grill, Ess-A-Bagel, and Guy Fieri’s Flavortown Kitchen.

Other happenings and upgrades at the airport include plans to replace the existing Terminal B and the hiring of a new consultant firm to examine the entirety of the airport for further renovations.
