According to Real Jersey City, Jersey City Mayor Steven Fulop and his wife Jaclyn have bought a beach front property in Jaclyn’s home state of Rhode Island. The property, located at 46 Pilgrim Avenue in the affluent town of Narragansett, is an oceanfront cottage on Point Judith. The listing describes it as a fixer-upper.

Pricing history indicates that the home was first listed for $995k in 2016, and after a few price reductions, finally sold for $820k this past January, two months after Fulop won reelection. Real Jersey City also dug into the financials of the deal, however, the exact structure remains unclear.

Mayor Fulop’s primary residence is a home on Ogden Ave in The Heights, for which he paid $845k in 2015.

    • Why is this a creepy post? Fulop is a public official and is now 1.5MM+ in the hole to BCB bank on his two real estate purchases. This site typically serves up thinly veiled sponsored posts about some noodle shop opening in a rapidly gentrifying neighborhood, so it’s about time they embrace something with some substantive value.

  1. The Mayor works very hard as a public servant. His wife has a successful physical therapy practice in Jersey City. Why wouldn’t they buy a second home?

I am very happy for them and hope they build many wonderful memories there!

  2. I am leaning to @Mike D’s perspective on this. It seems an odd post. While I’m sure this information is relatively easy to find online, posting the address and photos of a public person’s home(s) treads close to doxing. It just seems irrelevant and unnecessary or celebrity tabloidism at best, dangerous at worst.

    • I find it rather odd that a Mayor of Jersey city whoms salary of under 140000 a year is building a multi-million dollar house in Rhode Island by a management company who is building all over Jersey City.Corruption all the way
