The Hillsborough Village Center mixed-use project by Larken Associates recently reached a 100% pre-leased milestone.
Located at 650 US Highway 206 in Hillsborough, New Jersey, along the Route 206 retail corridor, the property welcomed its first residents in November and is scheduled for completion later this fall.
The mixed-use community includes a clubhouse and nine multi-family buildings comprising 191 luxury one- and two-bedroom units. There are also three mixed-use buildings with apartments and 28,000 square feet of ground-level retail space.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic and the community’s construction schedule, a fully virtual leasing and marketing approach was implemented by Larken Associates to replace in-person tours of the new community. The preliminary website was created in May 2020 following the groundbreaking of the property, and additional digital marketing was undertaken throughout the project’s construction. The community began accepting reservations in January 2021 before officially opening pre-leasing in April. The virtual marketing experience allowed prospective tenants to view the community and lease an apartment without needing to visit the property.
