Just one block from the Grove Street PATH station, Green Villain is hosting a Green Villain Exchange (GVX) Art & Music Festival. The currently vacant lot at 335 Barrow Street is slated for development next year. So why not take advantage and host a party before that happens. As Green Villain puts it, “we see the opportunities where others try to resist the change of gentrification.”
About the Event:
Green Villain Exchange (GVX) is a platform in which creatives from our record label, gallery, mural program and extended network come together under one roof (or in a vacant lot) to do what we do best—parties. Our opening celebration will take place this coming Saturday and will showcase brand new works from the AIDS crew, live DJ sets from the Villagers, eclectic record vendors, local apparel company Suvas and NJ Skateshop and of course River Horse Brewery fresh and on tap. Bring the kids as it will be all ages and be sure to wear sunscreen as it will be a scorcher outside under the sun!
Expect River Horse fresh and on tap while Incrediball’s and Luigi’s Ice Cream serve up the sauce. Suvas, NJ Skateshop & More Records, will be selling soft goods and we are partnering with Montana USA to put together a site-specific mural installation from the AIDS crew—Mustart, Distort, Ntel & Clarence Rich.
