A viral Italian to-go spot that has taken New York City by storm will be crossing the Hudson River this weekend as Gnocchi on 9th will be launching their first New Jersey outpost in Downtown Jersey City.
The brand, which first opened in 2024 on East 9th Street, will be operating out of 512 Jersey Avenue for their latest venture. Founded by Mike Salzano and Ariel Strizower, the pair strives to open a spot that offers fresh gnocchi that won’t break the bank.
Gnocchi on 9th has rapidly expanded to nine New York City locations, and their Jersey City spot will feature all their grab-and-go gnocchi dishes. Their menu allows diners to customize their sauce of choice with options like Bolognese, vodka, black truffle cacio e pepe, pesto, and pomodoro.

The restaurant gives the option to add burrata to any order, with vegan, vegetarian, and gluten-free options all available. Their gnocchi is pretty affordable, with dishes running between $11 and $16.
A Caesar salad option and tiramisu sourced from Brooklyn Cannoli Co. round out the menu at Gnocchi on 9th, which has become known for their late-night weekend hours until 3 a.m. at their New York City locations. While no official operating hours have been announced for the Jersey City spot, nighttime noshing appears to be a distinct possibility.
Those interested can stop by Gnocchi on 9th in person starting on May 22 or follow them on Instagram at the handle @gnocchinyc for further updates.
