A new culinary spot from a familiar Bravo Network face is under heavy construction in Bergen County as the Guidice-backed Il Vero is slated to open later this spring.
The new endeavor is taking over space at 170 Center Avenue in Westwood that was formerly occupied by Prohibition Bar. The building, located next to the Westwood Movie House, sits just off the main drag of Downtown Westwood.

The endeavor is a partnership between Maria Sausa and Gia Guidice, the daughter of longtime ‘Real Housewives of New Jersey’ star Teresa Guidice. Gia recently provided a construction update on social media of the restaurant, which is set to feature a massive wave wall plus a 25-foot bar.

Teresa, who lives in a Montville mansion with her new husband, Luis Ruelas, recently sold her previous residence, which was a mainstay on the TV show and the home where Gia grew up. She is significantly involved in the new restaurant venture, appearing in Gia’s social media update on construction progress.
“I’m beyond honored she asked me to consult on everything from the food to the vibe, the décor,” Teresa Guidice wrote in a recent social media post. “The team is incredible. The space is stunning. And trust me when I say — the food is NEXT LEVEL.”
A menu reveal has not yet emerged for Il Vero, which translates to “the truth” in Italian. While few details have emerged about the food, we do know the space will sport a rooftop area with outdoor seating overlooking Center Avenue.
An official opening date for Il Vero has not been announced beyond Spring 2026, but the restaurant has created an Instagram account at @ilverowestwood, which can be followed for further updates.
