One of the largest companies in the world has brought a new shopping experience to one of the biggest malls in the country and recently celebrated their arrival by giving back to a mentoring program.
Amazon 4-Star, a retail brand that curates the best-reviewed products on Amazon, has opened inside 4,500 square feet at East Rutherford’s American Dream mall. Located in Court C on Level 2, the store’s products all either boast a customer rating above four stars on Amazon.com, are a top-seller, or qualify as a new and trending item on the company’s site.
To help introduce themselves to the local community, Amazon 4-Star hosted a special shopping event on April 8 where they donated hundreds of products to TRUE Mentors. The Hoboken-based non-profit helps children develop healthy, strong relationships through one-on-one mentoring programs.
In addition to donating hundreds of crafts, activity kits, and STEM toys to the organization, the store selected several mentor-mentee pairs to participate in an in-store personal shopping spree.
“Amazon 4-Star stores are highly curated and designed to help customers discover products they will love,” said Drew Sheriff, director of Amazon Physical Stores. “We’re thrilled to join the community in East Rutherford and introduce our local customers to Amazon 4-star.”
The American Dream outpost is the brand’s second store in New Jersey, with the other being housed inside Wayne’s Willowbrook Mall. The latest spot is the 31st Amazon 4-Star location, the first of which debuted three years ago in New York City’s SoHo neighborhood.
