An Italian deli and pizza spot that has moved from one Downtown storefront to another as Jersey City’s Buon Appetito is officially breaking in their new digs.
The old storefront previously home to Buon Appetito at 520 Jersey Avenue is being used as part of a film shoot for “A Complete Unknown.” The Bob Dylan biopic has transformed Jersey Avenue into a retro Greenwich Village as of late, with Buon Appetito’s space being converted into an old-school bodega.
As a result, Buon Appetito has settled into their new spot at 280 1st Street, which was formerly home to seafood restaurant Just BeClaws. All of their subs, wraps, calzones, pizzas, and pastas that have made them a neighborhood favorite for years have come along for the ride.
Standouts at Buon Appetito depend on who you ask, but you can go wrong with their atomic wings or stuffed breads. The business offers various catering services for events and provides ordering through their website.
The new Buon Appetito is officially open for business on 1st Street daily, with business hours running from 10:00 a.m. to 09:45 p.m.
