One of Jersey City’s latest development is slated to be built at 20 Bostwick Avenue, between Ocean Avenue and Martin Luther King, Jr. Drive, in Ward F. According to city records, the building will be four stories tall, and will contain 12 residential units. 11 parking spaces will be provided on the premises for residents.
The developer, 20 Bostwick Avenue, LLC, which is registered with the State Division of Revenue and Enterprise Services out of Bayonne, applied for Preliminary and Final Site Plan Approval with variances for use and height, which were granted with conditions by the Jersey City Zoning Board of Adjustment during its meeting on May 18th.
The property, which is situated along a residential block, has long contained several garages, though it was once the site of the Voorhees Rubber Manufacturing Company. According to NJ Parcels records, the developer acquired it for $170,000 in 2015.
Residents of the new building will be within walking distance of the Glenn D. Cunningham Branch of the Jersey City Free Public Library, Audubon Park, New Jersey City University, and the MLK Drive Hudson-Bergen Light Rail Station. The area is also served by NJ Transit Buses 6 and 81.
