A fast casual wings brand that has been expanding significantly in New Jersey during recent years is growing again as Wingstop will be bringing a new restaurant to The Plaza Center in Secaucus.
The Texas-based company signed a lease for a 1,300-square-foot space at 121 Plaza Center. The brand expects a spring 2026 grand opening for the new spot, although they declined to provide an exact opening date for the Secaucus store.
Founded in 1994, Wingstop specializes in cooked-to-order, hand-sauced chicken wings, tenders, and sandwiches. The restaurant serves both classic (bone-in) and boneless varieties and offers customers the option to mix and match as part of a combo meal.
Wingstop’s wings are slathered in a variety of signature sauces spanning from their hot Atomic option to a Hickory Smoked BBQ blend. The citrusy heat of Mango Habanero, Garlic Parmesan, and a Hawaiian blend of island citrus with rich Asian flavors add to the fun.
Wingstop’s global footprint currently comprises more than 3,000 locations, with the brand launching almost 500 restaurants in 2025. The chain operates a total of 50 fast-casual locations throughout New Jersey.
The co-tenants at The Plaza Center, which is now fully leased, include CVS, Wayback Burgers, T-Mobile, The UPS Store, Moxie Salon, and Vito’s Bakery.
When up and running, the Secaucus outpost of Wingstop will be their fifth Hudson County location. The brand has two restaurants in Jersey City, another in Hoboken that just opened, and outposts in Union City and North Bergen. Wingstop also has another location near Secaucus in the nearby Bergen County borough of Little Ferry.
