Hoboken City Council held a special meeting to review a modified plan for the long awaited Trader Joe’s coming to the Willow14 development at Willow Street and 14th Street.

An initial plan submitted by the developer raised concerns about the ability of large delivery trucks to safely access the loading docks located on Clinton Street. The city then proposed removing 24 parking to alleviate the safety concerns. This new proposal followed the city’s advice and removed the spots.

After reviewing the new plan, it was unanimously approved at the special council meeting. Now that they’ve received approval, the beloved grocer is one step closer to opening up shop in Hoboken.
