TEDx, the localized spinoff of the wildly popular TED talks, will be returning to Jersey City this December for its fourth year.

TED is a nonprofit based on an in-depth exploration of ideas through short, powerful talks roughly 18 minutes or less in duration. The TEDx events program continues the TED mission of “ideas worth spreading,” encouraging connection, conversation, and action amongst local communities.

The 2016 installment of TEDxJerseyCity, titled ‘Go,” will take place on December 3rd at the historic Loew’s Theater from 12pm until 7pm. The event will feature 11 speakers, performances, and a screening of the best of TED talks. TEDx events are coordinated independently with a free license grant from the TED organization.

Attendees are encouraged to enjoy local Jersey City restaurants during session breaks. There will also be an engagement center featuring tech demonstrations, brain games, and boot camp physical challenges.

TED began in 1984 as a Technology, Design, and Entertainment conference, but today covers a massive spectrum of topics. Since the program began in 2009, almost 15,000 TEDx events have been held all over the world. TEDx Talks have since exceeded 1 billion in audience views.

The TEDxJerseyCity speakers roster include Denver Nicks, Chad Anderson, Victoria Herrmann, Michael Flinck, Magna Gopal, Mark Shalman, Debra Devi, Michael Tesalona, Scott Rosenbaum, Amy Gravino, and Dennis Febo.

General Admission tickets currently cost $20 and are available to purchase online.
