Early risers living near upper Washington Street officially have a new dining option to look forward to, as a storefront at 1024 Washington Street is being renovated into a new restaurant that will focus on breakfast and brunch.

Simply dubbed Tosti, the eatery will be taking the place of Charrito’s uptown location, which closed last October. Construction paper is up at the property heralding the restaurant’s pending arrival, but little else is known about exactly what’s in store for the property.

One thing is certain: the space itself is huge by Hoboken standards. Clocking in at 1,700 square feet, it’s one of uptown Washington Street’s larger spots. A sidewalk café area is likely in the cards, as one is already built at the property. It’s not immediately clear if Tosti will have a liquor license, although history indicates it might not, as the former Charrito’s outpost was a BYOB situation.

A small sign posted in the window of the future restaurant says they are officially hiring already and interested parties can contact Jimmy at the email [email protected].
