teak on the hudson hoboken auction

This Thursday (9/8/16), Michael Amodeo & Co will hold an auction at the well-known Teak on the Hudson restaurant and nightclub in Hoboken. According to its website, Teak is NJ’s #1 Restaurant & Nightclub.

The auction is for the contents of the restaurant, not the business itself. Highlights of the giant 2 story, 10,000 square foot asian themed restaurant include life-sized bronze statues, water fountains, asian artifacts, as well as high-end lighting and chandeliers.

For those in the market for restaurant furnishings, the sale will auction off 200 dining room chairs, 75 wood tables, 75 bar stools, 2 sushi display cases, 100” TV, as well as sound and lighting equipment.

The kitchen equipment is for sale too which includes, pots, pans, utensils, china dinnerware, flatware, glassware and trays.

A representative at Michael Amodeo & Co made clear that the business is not for sale. Which leaves us to speculate that the owners maybe paving the way for a relaunch under a new concept. We’ll keep you posted if we get more information.

  1. It never ceases to amaze me, after 20 yrs living here, and spending time all over the metro area why Hoboken has such terrible, overpriced, annoying spaced like this one.

But maybe we’ll get lucky and have another place with TV’s and pizza…
