Weehawken residents looking for barbeque soon will not have to leave town to find meat fresh off the grill. A Hoboken restaurant is planning to open an outpost at Port Imperial.

House of Que’, which opened in 2015 across from Pier C Park, is opening a second location just three miles upriver at 500 Avenue at Port Imperial. The space, located opposite the Port Imperial Ferry Terminal, is within the same brand new complex as the upcoming Residence Inn by Marriott and Renaissance hotels. House of Que’ will occupy the northeastern portion of the ground floor, according to a listing from Ripco Real Estate, and will join Sotheby’s Prominent Properties, Exchange Physical Therapy Group, spa810, Dunkin’ Donuts, and the Avora office.

The restaurant’s Hoboken location has a liquor license and is open daily, sometimes until 2:00 a.m. The company’s website states that it specializes in Austin-style barbeque and serves everything from wings to brisket to pulled pork.

Jersey Digs reached out to House of Que’ and Ripco for comment, but we have not heard back. An employee at the Hoboken location said over the phone that the Weehawken restaurant is currently expected to open in August.
