There will soon be a new place to shop for groceries in suburban Burlington County.

A Grocery Outlet location is in the works for the Millside Plaza in Delran. The discount market is slated to open in December at 4004 Route 130 where Crunch Fitness was previously situated, according to the location’s Facebook page.

The California-based chain’s website lists that the Delran store will be operated by Ron and Maggie Munson.

Grocery Outlet’s arrival in Delran comes as Lidl is constructing a store in nearby Cinnaminson and more than six years after Aldi opened an outpost in Edgewater Park.

Jersey Digs first reported in June that Grocery Outlet is planning to expand into New Jersey. In addition to Delran, the company is also working on a location in Mercer County’s Hamilton Township.

While there are no Grocery Outlet stores that are currently open in the Garden State, there are already a number of locations across the Delaware River in Pennsylvania.
